Job Description:

It’s an exciting time to join our rapidly growing Accounting team with ample development opportunities. We're looking for a Senor Manager of New Business to lead our general ledger, accounting operations financial reporting functions for new business verticals.

The Senior Manager of New Business is a member of the Finance team and is responsible for establishing and maintaining the accounting and reporting function for new business verticals. The position reports into the VP, Controller and closely collaborates with our FP&A, Data, Financial Operations, Treasury and Tax teams. You have the reporting and technical background, are a great team player, are extremely proactive to support our continued growth and collaborate closely with other business functions to ensure completeness and accuracy of the accounting function. 

 

Your responsibilities…

• Own the accounting function for all new business verticals as subject matter expert and primary point of contact for business leaders. 
• Establish respective accounting functions, including the development and mapping of charts of accounts that aligns with HelloFresh reporting under IFRS, oversight of month end close and financial review for applicable business verticals, analysis of contracts and determination of proper accounting treatment, coordination with various business partners to ensure the team has necessary information for maintaining complete and accurate records for business verticals. 
• Leverage other accounting functions, as appropriate, to ensure the accounting department operates, as a whole, in the most efficient and effective manner.
• Build process that will scale with rapid business growth. 
• Partner closely with FP&A and Accounting teams around monthly variance analysis and management reporting
• Assist in technical assessment of unusual / new transactions to ensure compliance with IFRS, internal policies, and external audits
• This role reports VP, Controller

• The ability to plan, organize, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

At a minimum, you have…

• 6+ years of accounting experience, with experience in relevant industry public company preferred or mid to large size company (> $500 million revenue)
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, CPA a plus
• Detailed understanding of accounting and month end closing processes; IFRS knowledge is a plus
• Experience with ERP and financial reporting tools; Oracle Cloud Financials knowledge is a plus
• Experience with food/manufacturing/ ecommerce industries preferred
• Advanced Excel and data manipulation skills
