Senior National Sanitation Manager

Position: Sr National Sanitation Manager     

Reports to: AD of Sanitation

Summary/Objective
The Sr National Sanitation Manager will work to continually improve the sanitation process to ensure the processes is sound across all brands, to meet operational goals and objectives, along with quality, safety and GMP regulations. The Sr National Sanitation Manager coordinates activities and provides coaching and guidance to sanitation mangers at each DC.  Sr National Sanitation Manager works alongside the team, stepping in as needed to ensure maximum productivity.  The Sr National Sanitation Manager will be responsible for the cleaning process at our RTE, Meal Kit, & Organic Meal Kit facilities.

1. Continually improve the sanitation process for HelloFresh, Factor 75 & Green Chef
2. Responsible for monitoring performance and reporting out sanitation KPI’s
3. Ensure compliance in all facets of FDA, SQF, CCOF, Gluten and regulatory guidelines.
4. Assist all HelloFresh, Factor 75 and Green Chef locations with any Sanitation needs.
5. Responsible for directing and supervising a group of employees involved in inspection and sanitation procedures 
6. Develop and/or adapt inspection equipment to meet sanitation control standards, make suggestions regarding procedures, standards and equipment to facilitate work and maintain product safety.
7. Responsible for compilation and maintenance of sanitation reports and records.
8. Investigate and determine cause of faulty work and consult and advise other departments as to corrective measures.
9. Provide all employees with necessary tools, proper training and corrective direction.
10. Interact with site leadership to ensure food safety of product and DC.
11. Maintain discipline, morale and harmonious relations among subordinates.
12. Effectively recommend as to hiring, promotions, wage adjustments and terminations

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is in a manufacturing and assembly environment and is regularly exposed to cool and/or cold temperatures (10º - 40º). The employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. 

Physical Demands

The employee must regularly lift and move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds with or without assistance. 

 Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position with a Monday-Friday work schedule. Occasional W/E work as needed for certain times. 

Travel
Up to 50% travel is expected for this position.

Required Education and Experience

 Minimum of 5 yrs of sanitation management experience required. Multi-Site experience is needed. Food manufacturing or food distribution experience is required. 

1. Sanitarian certification
2. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in sanitation in a food manufacturing environment.
3. HS diploma or GED required
4. 4-year degree preferred or equivalent work-related experience
5. Intermediate computer skills requirement – data analysis/creation, Microsoft office and google equivalent
6. Preferred food safety certifications SQF, BRC, HACCP is a plus
