Job Description:

The Manager, Accounting, Indirect & Contingent Workforce, is responsible for the Accounting function related to distribution center (“DC”) operations and contingent workforce. You have the technical background but are also a great team leader that chaperones the development of the accounting  team. You have a passion for process improvement, controls, and finding answers. The position reports to the Director, Finance, Fulfilment, who oversees FP&A and Accounting professionals for all DC operations and contingent workforce.

Your responsibilities…

• Manage the DC operations and contingent workforce monthly close function, ensure completeness and accuracy of accounting records, and administer a strict timeline
• Post and review journal entries related to DC operations and contingent workforce
• Work with external auditors on respective areas during periodic reviews and annual audits
• Ensure compliance with global accounting policies (IFRS) and internal controls
• Ensure team procedures are thoroughly documented and adhered to
• Train and develop members of your team
• Partner closely with Operational functions to increase transparency on business performance and support cost control
• Coordinate with Field HR and other Finance functions on weekly and monthly cost reporting for Contingent Workforce

Your qualities…

• Experience with ERP and financial reporting tools; Oracle Cloud Financials knowledge is a plus
• Able to work comfortably under pressure and work towards tight deadlines
• A strong sense of ownership and attention to detail
• Drive to continuously improve and build processes

At a minimum, you have...

• 5+ years of combined experience in public accounting and/or corporate accounting functions, preferably in a publicly traded company; CPA is required
• 2+ years of managing experience
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Mix of operational and technical accounting background; knowledge of IFRS is a strong plus.
• Experience in fast-growth environments and/or inventory-based E-Commerce businesses preferred.
